Húsvéti sonka is a traditional Hungarian boneless Easter ham made from prime cuts of pork leg, oak-smoked for an intense aroma and a rich, meaty texture.

Cooking recommendation:

Before cooking, let the ham soak overnight.

Place in cold water, bring to a boil, and cook for 15-20 minutes. Drain and replace the cooking water, then add one peeled brown onion, 2-3 dried bay leaves, and 5-6 black peppercorns. Let it simmer on low heat until the meat is soft and tender. Let it cool inside the saucepan. Afterwards, you can use this water to prepare delicious hard-boiled eggs.
